Career and life transition coaching with David Blow
One-on-one coaching for people who are burnt out at their job, curious about doing their own thing, or know something needs to change but can't name what. Straight talk, a real plan, and someone in your corner who has made the leap himself.

Three front doors
Pick the one that sounds like you. There's no wrong door.
Door 01 · Burnt Out
"Most coaching starts by asking what your goal is. If you're burnt out, you can't answer that. You know what you're running from, not what you're running toward. So we start with what still lights you up — even if it has nothing to do with work. Then we figure out where it could go."
Door 02 · Testing the Waters
"You don't hate your job. You're just curious whether the thing you keep thinking about could actually work. You don't need to quit tomorrow to find out — we'll test it while the paycheck's still coming in."
Door 03 · No Direction
"You know something needs to change. You just can't name what. That's not a character flaw, it's a starting point. We'll figure out what you actually want before we build anything."
Not sure which door is yours? Take the quiz and it'll point you to one.
You've thought about it in the car. In the shower. At 2 a.m.
You've run the numbers in your head and talked yourself out of it a dozen times. Not because the idea is bad, but because the path is fuzzy. What do you do first? How much money is enough? What if you leave and it doesn't work?
So you wait. You tell yourself you'll figure it out after the next review, the next bonus, the next quarter.
Meanwhile, the job keeps taking. Your energy. Your evenings. The version of you that used to be excited about work.
None of this means you're not ready. It usually means no one has helped you turn the feeling into a plan.
Meet David
I spent seven years at a job I thought was going to be my career. I rarely took time off — I was one of those guys who just banked his vacation days instead of using them. One day I finally planned to take my son to an appointment. Something came up and we couldn't go, so I just wanted to spend the day with him instead. I ended up working that shift instead of being with my family.
So I put in my two weeks' notice and left. Since 2019, I've been building my own thing, on my own terms.
I've been all three. I'm not going to hand you a plan and send you off with it — we figure out where you're actually going, and we don't stop at figuring it out.
The Arrow Method
An arrow doesn't fly because you want it to. It flies because you aimed it, drew it back with enough tension, and let go at the right moment. Your next move works the same way.
Get honest about where you are and decide where you're going: the role, the business, the life. You leave this step with a clear target, not a vague wish.
Build what makes the move hold: your money runway, your skills, your offer or résumé, your network, and a timeline you'll actually keep. This is the step most people skip, and it's why most leaps feel like falling.
Make the move on purpose. Give notice, launch, or land the new role, with weekly accountability so you don't freeze at the line.
Whether you're ready to go now or building on the side first, every client works through the same three steps. What changes is the pace.

Not sure which fits? Take the quiz, or book a free strategy call and David will recommend one. No pressure either way.
Coaching is not therapy, financial advice, or a guarantee of employment or income. Results depend on your effort and circumstances.
Most people aren't when they start. That's what the quiz and a single Explore call are for. You don't need a goal yet. Figuring out what you actually want is part of the work.
No. Many clients keep their job while they build something on the side or plan their exit. The goal is a move you choose, on a timeline that works for your life and your bills.
Sessions are scheduled around your week. Between sessions, the work is small and specific: a few focused steps, not a second job.
Compare it to the cost of another year in the wrong role, or a leap made without a plan. Start with a single Explore session if you want to test the fit before committing to anything monthly.
Pace and support. Explore is a single call with no commitment. Momentum is two sessions a month. Transformation is weekly, with the curriculum and support between sessions. Compare them side by side.
It's 30 minutes on Zoom with David. You'll talk about where you are, where you want to be, and what's in the way. If coaching is a fit, he'll recommend a package. If it isn't, he'll tell you.
Online, on Zoom, so you can work with David from anywhere in the US.
Monthly plans are month to month: cancel anytime before your next billing date. Transformation has a 3-month minimum, then continues month to month. Explore is a single call with no ongoing commitment.
No, and be careful of anyone who does. Coaching gives you clarity, a plan, and accountability. The results come from the work you put in.
You don't need the whole plan right now. You need to know where you stand and what to do first. Five minutes will tell you.
